Dear Yuletide Author,

This will be my second time participating. I had a lot of fun last year. My AO3 is Haro. If someone feels so inclined, treats and gifts are also enabled on my account.

I've been writing and reading fanfiction for twenty-two years.

I'm a millennial lesbian living in the midwest US with my long time girlfriend and our menagerie of kitty cats. Cats are a welcome addition to ANY prompt I give. As far as I'm concerned all my faves are cat lovers, even if they don't know it yet. 

Non-series specific likes: Found families, friends to lovers, mutually requited pining, teamwork, equality in relationships, mutual protection, physical affection (kissing, hugs, cuddling, holding hands, cute stuff like that), battle couples, home being a person and not a place, established relationship fic, angst and hurt comfort with a happy ending (I'm soft at heart), transfem headcanons, dancing, characters in fancy or special clothes, anything with cats. I'm also a sucker for stories where characters triumph against impossible odds, as well as stories where free will > fate.

 

Dislikes: noncon, dubcon, cheating, drawn out miscommunication (unless it's funny), major character death (except what already exists in canon). Unrequited relationships, love triangles, stories about one partner outliving the other by a lot, descriptions of pregnancy (a character being pregnant for part of a story is great, but just don't write about it in detail), detailed descriptions of baby rearing (see last point), kids as a FOCAL point (kids are okay but the story should be more about the parents than the kids).

 

I'm also not really interested in smut fic as a gift. Allusions to sex, mentions of it, sensuality, and fade to black are very welcomed though! I want all my faves to have great sex lives.

Amyway, here's my prompts! I tend toward quite shippy requests.

Love Between Fairy and Devil

Xiao Lanhua/Dongfang Qingcang are the only required characters. Any other cast members as supporting characters is a-okay, but I want the focus to be on those two. If any side pairings sneak in, I'd be okay with Jieli/Shangque, Xunfeng/Changheng, and that's it.

Would just love to see some post canon DFQC/XLH content! Anything with them ruling Cangyan Sea together, DFQC helping XLH with her goddess duties, being a battle couple, etc. An assertive XLH that knows who she is in her role as the goddess and as the Moon Queen, is extremely loved (but of course, she should still be her cheery, sweet self when it comes down to it).

Another fun idea would be something extremely post-canon. They're immortals, so maybe it's 100,000 years down the line and they're still together and thriving. How has Cangyan Sea changed in that vast span of time? I do imagine they'd have children, which I'd love for them, but I'd prefer to keep it to a reasonable amount (maybe three or four max).

A bit more of a longshot, but I'd also be interested in any post-canon DFQC/XLH with transfem!DFQC. A DFQC, finally free of the restraints placed by her father, discovering and exploring her gender in a way she never had a chance to before. And of course XLH would love her and be so supportive.

DNW specific to this series: Anyone calling Xiao Lanhua 'Xiyun' outside of maybe someone like Yunzhong. If it's her friend or anyone in the moon tribe though, it's Xiao Lanhua or one of her titles.

Also, I deeply want them to have an amazing sex life of course, but DFQC is canonically a virgin who is still very much trying to figure out this 'being a human with emotions and desires' thing, so unless it's way post-series, I'd prefer that be kept in mind when characterizing it (aka no super dominant, overly confident and experienced DFQC).

My Journey to You

The two chosen characters (Gong Ziyu and Yun Weishan) as a romantic relationship, please. The story does not need to be focused on their romance though.

Can also feature Gong Zishang and Jin Fan, or the other brothers and Back Hill boys in supporting roles. Would prefer no other pairings but Yun Weishan and Gong Ziyu UNLESS it's Gong Zishang/Jin Fan. Considering the prompt I gave, Wufeng members as well as YWS's sister can also pop up.

I'd love to just see some resolution on the post-series... whatever that ending was. I'd prefer a happy or hopeful resolution. Yun Weishan is my fave, so something more focused on her would be ideal. She deserves love and tenderness (but she also deserves to kick butt, so I'd love to see that too).

Zhang Linghe said that at the end of the series, when the gates open, the reaction he was acting was as if he saw 'two Yun Weishans', so certainly something exploring that concept; Yun Weishan coming back to The Gong family with her twin sister, would be interesting.

I'd also be up for anything that critiques the foundations of the Gong family. Early on Gong Ziyu points out how the Gong family traditions are harmful to both those in and outside of the family; their isolation, the fact that certain people can't even leave the compound, their unwillingness to help other sects, etc. I would hope that a Gong Ziyu as sword wielder would want to dismantle some of that; maybe with the help of Yun Weishan and his family. I enjoyed the series, but I really wanted it to do more with this.

Lost You Forever 

 

The only romantic pairing I'm interested in is Xiaoyao and Tushan Jing. I'm always a fan of anything gentle with them. They are the only characters that the gift must feature.

Otherwise, I'm interested in Xiang Liu and Tushan Jing's dynamic, so something non-romantic with them could be cool. I think they could be friends in another life. This is the only premise in which I'd want Xiang Liu to appear.

As far as other side characters, bringing in A'nian somehow would be fun, but not at all necessary.

I love the tenderness and the healing of the relationship between Xiaoyao and Tushan Jing. Would love to see them exploring the world post-canon. I would prefer you do not give them children.

Also I know in the series itself, Tushan Jing knew Xiaoyao was a woman all along, but in my mind he did not know she was one until she revealed it. He still fell in love of course. Tushan Jing bisexual king, is very important to me.

Story of Kunning Palace

Jiang Xuening/Shen Zhiyi please. 

I believe these two belong together, so I'd love to see them paired in a canon divergent setting. Maybe it splits off after Shen Zhiyi returns from her failed wedding, maybe before, maybe after. I don't want a reincarnation story or one where she cheats on Xie Wie (I just don’t like infidelity), so canon divergence is the preferred angle. Any supporting characters can appear as needed.

Mawaru Penguindrum

Fix it fic for Shouma/Ringo! Shouma and Ringo meet again years down the line, once they're both well into adulthood and fall in love. Of course they'd be about ten years apart now, but that's fine. Perhaps their memories from the previous version of their lives return; whether this happens before or after they hook up is up to you.

Other characters can appear, especially Himari. Please no Himari/Kanba though.

Slayers

I'm a sucker for the princess and the chimera. They're my oldest OTP. I love anything established relationship with them. Whether Zelgadis is cured or uncured is up to you (slight preference on my part for uncured, but whatever works best for you is good).

Shenanigans regarding Zelgadis as the prince consort of the princess of Saillune, typical madcap Slayers adventures with a dash of romance, power couple battle moments, something sweeping and romantic with the royal couple? It's up to you.

Gourry and Lina can appear, and can be paired, but I'd prefer the focus be on Zelame. Other side character appearances are also okay, but I'd prefer no Slayers TRY cast (i.e. Filia, Valgaav). Revo/Evo-R references and cast members are ok though.
